Today's "tune-up"
Modern engines don't need the points-and-timing tune-ups of the past, but spark plugs still wear out on a schedule, and coils and boots still fail. Done on time, a tune-up keeps the engine running smooth and protects the catalytic converter from misfire damage.

Common questions
How often should spark plugs be replaced?
It depends on the engine and plug type. Many modern iridium plugs last around 100,000 miles, while some engines call for them much sooner. We'll check your manufacturer's schedule.
